Description
Ma Desheng (b.1983) was active in the underground art group Xing Xing, illustrated for Bei Dao’s underground literary journal and participated in the demonstration for artistic freedom in 1979. He immigrated to Paris in the mid 1980s, became a French citizen, has a book of his poetry translated and published in France and has had many art shows. The photo was taken in his studio in Paris.
