Description
This movie shows a Crane fly Nephrotoma suturalis sperm cell at metaphase of meiosis. Images were captured every 15 seconds for 35 minutes of cell division using polarized light microscopy. Eighth Prize, 2011 Olympus BioScapes Digital Imaging Competition©.
