Description
In quick-freeze deep-etch micrographs it is not easy to distinguish peroxisomes from surrounding organelles. The organelle at the top of this micrograph may be a peroxisome based on its finely granular content. Also the elongated vesicle showing a porous E-fracture face in the middle may also be a peroxisome. Several mitochondria and the porous E-face of the smooth spongiome of the Contractile Vacuole Ccomplex (associated with a microtubular ribbon) are present. TEM taken on 6/22/88 by C. Schroeder with Zeiss 10A operating at 80kV. Neg. 15,900X. Bar = 0.25µm. Research Data Curation Program, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/rdcp) Allen, Richard; Schroeder, C.
