El Ecsmo. Sr. Presidente de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, se ha servido dirigirme el decreto siguiente ... el Congreso General ha decretado lo que sigue. 1o. Un general de conocimientos facultativos mandará el cuerpo de ingenieros con la denominacion de director general. 2o. Constará el cuerpo de cuatro coroneles, cuatro tenientes coroneles, catorce capitanes, quince tenientes y diez y seis subtenientes. 3o. A cargo del cuerpo de ingenieros se establecerá un colegio para la instruccion de todas las armas del Ejército
