Description
A DV-III contains a thick continuous glycocalyx (polysaccharide coat) on the luminal side of its membrane as well as paracrystalline material, both provided by the fused lysosomes. The latex beads indicate that this vacuole was 27-30 min old. The cell had been exposed to HRP for the first 3 minutes but no HRP reaction product remained in the DV. TEM taken on 4/8/79 by R. Allen with Hitachi HU11A operating at 75kV. Neg. 14,750X. Bar = 0.25µm. Research Data Curation Program, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/rdcp) Allen, Richard (2021).
