Description
CD104 Immunostain of Human Prostate. Tissue section of human prostate containing adenocarcinoma that has been immunostained for the cell-surface antigen CD104. Nuclei are stained in blue. This image is part of a collection of images generated from several specimens to characterize the distribution of CD104 in human prostate tissue. A summary of the entire data set is provided below. Cell Type, % intense, % equivocal, % none, # assays, Atrophic glands:, 27, 17, 57, 3, Hyperplastic glands:, 3, 23, 73, 3, Normal glands:, 0, 18, 82, 3, Basal Epithelial Cells:, 70, 13, 17, 3, Stromal Endothelial Cells:, 100, 0, 0, 3, Stromal Fibromuscular Cells:, 0, 0, 100, 3, Stromal Nerve Sheath Cells:, 100, 0, 0, 3, Stromal Perineural Cells:, 100, 0, 0, 3, Gleason Pattern 3:, 0, 0, 100, 3, Gleason Pattern 4:, 0, 0, 100, 3 The table indicates the percent of each cell type with the indicated staining intensity. Staining intensity levels were classified as intense, equivocal (weak or very focal) or none. Not all of the cell types and staining patterns are visible in each image. This image is part of a large collection of immunohistochemistry images of cell-surface antigens generated by the SCGAP Urologic Epithelial Stem Cells (UESC) Project. The overall goal of the project is to characterize and isolate epithelial stem cell populations from two urologic organs, the prostate and bladder. Links are provided below for the UESC Project database, the entire human prostate immunostain summary, the CD104 immunostain summary, and information on the specimen that this image is from. Other images of CD104 human prostate immunostains are accessible following the group link.
