Description
Paramecium multimicronucleatum - Video of the Contractile Vacuole Complex. Profile view of the rounding/relaxing of an in vitro CV. Side view of an in vitro CV of Paramecium spontaneously rounding and relaxing while confined under mineral oil. The isolated CV will continue to round and relax for as long as 30 min if the cytosolic fluid is not diluted too extensively and there is an adequate supply of ATP available. A DVD resolution version of this is available at CIL:10412. Research Data Curation Program, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/rdcp) Tani, Tomomi; Allen, Richard (2021).
