Description
Anton Kandinsky was the subject of a Chinese documentary film by Fan Xiaochun. Anton was a U.S. based Russian pop artist who was influenced during one phase of his career by the Chinese artists Yue Minjun and Ai Weiwei. Anton was the great grandson of the world famous modernist Russian artist with the same last name. The photograph of Anton (R) and his friend (L) was taken in front of a Russian restaurant after a day of filming. Anton Kandinsky died toward the end of the film project, an abbreviated version of the film was completed, but the film has not been released commercially.
