FI (Fill) -- Crushed slag layer under gate structure walls. -- Crushed slag under surface/NW cham. -- A layer of crushed slag scattered throughout the NW chamber of the gate structure. -- The layer is found below the lowest courses of the two northern chambers of the gate structure and represent either a foundation bed for the structure or a layer Research Data Curation Program, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/rdcp) Locus contemporary: 94 -- Locus below: 101 N-W33, S-W47, E-W45, W-W35 Apart from the crushed slag itself no other finds. Area stratum IVa Covered by the gate structure. -- Similar to L82 outside the western entrance to the fort. -- od scattered industrial waste that predated the construction of the gate structure.
