To dsdp site 469 at 32deg 37min n/ 120deg32min90 w, to perform seabeam tests, to survey san juan seamount emphasis on southern tip of the seamount with slopes as steep as anywhere in the vicinity and complex topography of volcanic origin, to observe the summit topography of the seamount with possible identification fo caldera, and finally survey of patton escarpment.
