Description
Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells were metaphase-arrested with colcemid, exposed to hypotonic salt to swell the cells and chromosomes, fixed, embedded in plastic, and sections observed by high voltage electron microscopy (HVEM). The chromatid pair seen in the image was recorded at a specimen tilt angle of 30 degrees. Grouped with this image are tilts of 40 and 50 degrees, providing oblique stereo views of the chromatids.
