Text at the very bottom and top of back of card appears to have been cut off. Original trade card forms part of: Collection no. 311, History & Special Collections for the Sciences, Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library, UCLA. 2 boys and a girl carry a very large bottle with a label reading "Purely Vegetable Medicine for internal and exter[nal use]" while a small white dog runs around their feet. A logo on the bottle's label also identifies the product as a "pain killer." A woman stands on a threshhold greeting them. Text in Spanish on the back of the card describes using the Mata-Dolores, or pain killer, to treat various conditions such as stomach acidity, indigestion, hemorrhoids, etc. Back of card: ...El Estómago Acido, Dolor de Cabeza, Cardialgia é Indigestiones. Deben ser tratados del mismo modo que la dispepsia. El bañar abundantemente la cabeza con el Mata-Dolores aliviará generalmente loc accesos mas agudos del dolor. Para la Gangrena de la Boca, de la Garganta y del Estómago... [S]e hace una fuerte mezcla de Mata-Dolores mezclada de un cuartillo de leche y agua con azucar. Para los Sarpullidos...
