Description
Golden Prince blanketed with flowers, with jockey Jack Parmalee, after winning the Coffroth Handicap race at the Agua Caliente Racetrack in Tijuana in 1929. A crowd is gathered around, including a girl holding a bouquet of flowers and a man holding the reins, possibly the trainer and owner Harry Unna. Reported in "GOLDEN PRINCE WINS RICH COFFROTH HANDICAP: PARMALEE IN BRILLIANT RIDE TO PILOT WINNER Naishapur Finishes Close Second; Scimitar Third at Tia Juana; Genie Fails in Turf Event," Huston, Ralph, Los Angeles Times, 18 Mar. 1929: 11.
