Eighteen-year-old Jean Rose and her mother Josephine Rose sitting on a staircase in the courthouse after receiving a settlement from their $100,000 damages suit brought against Miss Cherrie Armour. Miss Armour, the daughter of an oil company executive, was sentenced to a year in county jail after pleading guilty to a hit-and-run automobile accident that left both Jean and Josephine Rose injured. At the time of the accident, Miss Armour was reported to be under the influence of alcohol and wearing only a nightgown and housecoat
