The theme of the 1930 forty-first annual Rose Parade was "Festival Days in Flowers"
Spectators watch Rose Parade Grand Marshal James Rolph, Mayor of San Francisco on the parade route in a flower-covered automobile. The car is passing commercial buildings at 245 W. Colorado Blvd. (later a freeway underpass area). Signs on the buildings read: "Used Car Dept., Graham-Paige, 245 W. Colorado, Sales Service, " "Coal & Wood," "H. R. Slayde.. Co. Accesso..."
