The theme of the 1932 forty-third annual Rose Parade was "Nations & Games in Flowers," looking forward to the 1932 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles
The "A Vista Calavo" float featuring a large half avocado with Marie Harmon seated in the center. Three children, Dona Lee Hoskins, Carol Haas and Mary Hildebrandt play on a bank of flowers. The float was entered by city of San Diego and is seen passing the Goodhue Flagpole in the center of the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd. and Colorado Blvd.
