Max Turner was co-owner of the Turner and Stevens undertakers, a director of the Pasadena Department of Recreation and a director of the Community Playhouse. Helen Robinson had recently won the Sweetest Girl Contest in Chicago and was acting with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
