Text from negative sleeve: LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR, 1934
Text from newspaper caption: Chino shows a replica of a crude, old-time water lift operated by burro power at the Pomona exposition. The wheel is fitted with "buckets" made from hollowed out tree limbs which dip water from the stream and pour it into an irrigation ditch as the wheel turns. Dorothy Marshal, left, and Patty Clark apparently have taken a fancy to the "power plant".
