Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Text from negative sleeve: 15-30, Rigoletto, #30 Ludwig-Porta, April 6/7/56, S.M. OPERA, Porta - Ludwig, Vivaldi - Haley, cruise, Brut Opera singers of the Santa Monica Civic Opera on stage. One actor and actress stand to the left of the stage, before a backdrop reminiscent of a house. The actor is dressed in Renaissance style garb, and the actress is dressed as a Romani (Gypsy). To the right on stage, are another actor and actress in cloaks and Renaissance style clothing, standing before a backdrop painted to look like an exterior view. Part of a piano is also visible in the foreground offstage. The location is possibly Barnum Hall.
