Gertrude smiles for the camera. She bares her wedding band on her right hand resting her fingers against her face.
While seeking a divorce from her husband Gertrude is also fighting for custody of their four-year-old daughter Mary Ann. Mr. Charlebois obtains that during their marriage Gertrude spent time with other men and she claims that he left her shortly after the birth of their daughter for eight months to help his mother with the family estate.
