Photograph of sculptor Ernest Yerbysmith in his studio with his design submission for a monument for the Plaza in Venice sculpted in clay and placed on a sculpture trestle. The design is for a columnar monument 120 feet high with an exhibition hall and fountain at the base, above that statues of 4 historical figures including Father Junipero, a Spanish soldier, an Indian and a doughboy, and 4 eagles beneath a dome at the top. Yerbysmith's studio was located at 1115 Hacienda Place in [now] West Hollywood. Text from newspaper caption: Sculptor Yerbysmith and His Work Text from negative sleeve: Yerbysmith, Ernest.
