View is taken from bottom of Chavez Ravine, looking up at natural ledge where 13-year-old (Rance) Eugene Wiggins was trapped. A team of rescue workers--firefighters and police--are supporting an extra long ladder aimed toward the ledge where Wiggins is obscured from view. A rescue worker stands on the highest rungs of the ladder, looking for Wiggins. The rescue team included people such as Officer G.L. (Giden Lewis) Rice and fire fighter Owen J. Stroud. The image is taken at night.
