In May, 1922, Rudolph Valentino was charged with bigamy after he married Natacha Rambova before the one-year wait period was over from his divorce from Jean Acker. Ramalda Lugo and her daughter Lena were housekeepers at Rambova and Valentino's house in Palm Springs and testified against them in court.
