Photograph appears with the article, "Bible Game's Replies Swamp "Times" Office," Los Angeles Times, 23 Aug 1934: A8.
In an otherwise empty room several full sacks are stacked on top of each other leaning against a wall, beside the sacks there is a mountain of mail piled haphazardly that is at least several feet tall.
An estimate of 25,000 answers to the "Bible Game" questions have been sent to The Los Angeles Times' offices. Twelve experts have began to check each of the individual entries, although it is unsure when winners will be announced due to the large volume of correspondence.
Text from newspaper caption: Stack of letters received by Times containing replies to great $3000 Bible Game contest and in which winners will soon be named by judges.
