A similar photograph appears with the article, "AMERICA'S YOUTH ELECTS THE PLOW," Los Angeles Times, 10 Nov. 1935: I19 A high school student stands at right, in the middle of a pigs' pen. Barn doors pass behind him. He faces left and looks down towards the ground as he rests a hand each to his knee and hip. To the left of him, a large sow lies on the ground and against the pen's fence. About five piglets feed from her. One piglet does not feed and instead walks up to the sow's face. One of the feeding piglets climbs over its siblings. A similar photograph showing the same young man handling piglets is captioned, "'Squealers;' These Youngsters Study Them as Part of a Project," Los Angeles Times, 10 Nov. 1935: I19 Text from negative sleeve: 3293-- Home + Garden Cows + Pigs [stamped:] JAN 21 1936
