Frank Thompson was noted in the Los Angeles Times article, "Hickman Trial in Final Stage: Testimony May be Ended by Close of Today's Session," 8 Feb. 1928: A1. Frank O. Thompson, seated, photographed during the trial of William Edward Hickman, who confessed to the kidnap and murder of Marion Parker, age 12. Thompson was a former neighbor of Hickman, who shared an apartment with his mother, Eva, and sister, Mary Marie Hickman when the family lived in Alhambra. Thompson was a character witness for the prosecution - charged with proving Hickman's sanity. Hickman was proven sane and sentenced to death after a 13-day trial. He was executed at San Quentin, October 19, 1928. Text from negative sleeve: Hickman, William Edward
