Description
Mary Eilers placing a nursing cap on nursing student Mary Mayes at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. This capping ceremony also known as the "Nightingale Lamp" ceremony marks the promotion of fifteen students to an advanced training program. Santa Solomonian and Janet Horsh await their caps behind Mayes.
