Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Guy Whitaker and Forrest Whitaker play a game with other men in Victory Park, in the Arroyo Seco area. The men sit on a blanket in the grass. The game is in the center of the group and next to them, on the grass, there is a piece of paper that may be a newspaper. There are other people around them, including a child doing a cartwheel and a man with a child on his shoulders. There are cars, trees, and mountains in the background. George Guy Whitaker and Forrest Whitaker were H. H. West's brothers-in-law. Text from negative sleeve: 110. Los Angeles, Victory Park, 1931. Some one had brot [sic] along a foot ball game that could be played around a cardboard field. Guy Whitaker and Forrest Whitaker, with others. 3 negatives.
