H. H. West Jr. sits next to a tree at a campsite. There is a car at the left. At the base of the tree, there is a pile of supplies and next to that there is a picnic table also covered with supplies.
Text from negative sleeve: Twin Lakes, 1929. [Handwritten: 1929.] We leave 2223 Griffin Ave in our Chandler car. Hebard West in car, Will Shaw and H. H. West standing beside it. We reach Twin Lakes above Bridgeport, Calif. and make camp under a pine tree by the lower lake. Using a dish towel too long, when the rest of the party came in to the camp they noticed the dirty towel and called the place "The Camp of the Dirty Dish Towel." 2 negatives. Will Shaw showing H. H. West Jr. how to catch grasshoppers. 4 negatives.
