Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Frances West and Elizabeth West were about 6 and 9 years old, respectively, in 1912. They look older than that in this photograph. Photograph, from left to right, of Frances and Elizabeth West exploring an outcrop of boulders near Big Tujunga Creek. At left, Frances West crouches down on a rock which lies in the water. Her back is to the camera and her left arm rests on a large rock. She wears a white blouse and dark skirt. Up to right of her, Elizabeth West is bent over and stands on one leg. Her hands are braced on two boulders. She wears a dark skirt and a white blouse with striped details on the cuffs and collar.
