Frances West and Elizabeth West were about 6 and 9 years old, respectively, in 1912. They look older than that in this photograph.

Her hands are braced on two boulders. She wears a dark skirt and a white blouse with striped details on the cuffs and collar. A large boulder juts out from the right and another large boulder lies in the background on the left.
