Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of a boy stepping behind a large kite at the Cerritos Avenue school kite flying contest. A central panel on the kite is missing and the boy can be seen stepping behind it. Another person stands behind the kite panel at left and is mostly obscured as they steady the kite. A string from a horizontal support stick extends from the kite towards the lower right corner. A car is parked behind the kite at right. Text from negative sleeve: 534. Glendale, Calif. About 1924. There was a kite flying contest at the Cerritos Ave school. I took a photo of this big kite.
