Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of H. H. West standing in front of his cabin at the McCoy Motor Lodge in Phoenix. The West's stayed here while traveling to the Grand Canyon. He stands in the dirt drive just right-of-center. His cabin is viewed at an angle and stands at right. Behind him and to the left, his car is parked partially under the cabin's carport. A tree stands to the left of the car and behind the tree another dwelling is visible in the far distance. Text from negative sleeve: 569. Grand Canyon trip, May 1942. On arrival at Phoenix went too McCoy's Motor Court on west Van Buren street. Entrance to Court. Fine place. Our cabin, with Mertie West and our car. Had electric refrigerator. Lovely place. H.H.West in front of cabin. From Phoenix we went to Prescott, thence Jerome, thence Flagstaff, Arizona.
