Desert View Watchtwer was designed by architect Mary Colter and completed in 1933.
Text from negative sleeve: 573. Grand Canyon trip, May 1942. Going eastward we stopped at Desert View. A big stone tower. It was just closing up so we could not go in and up the tower.
