A slighty askew group photograph, from left to right, of H. H. West, Mertie West, Agnes Whitaker and Josie Shaw posing in front of the Idyllwild Inn. They stand in the near distance in a row. The inn stands behind them and extends out of frame on both the left and right sides. A sign atop the building's roof reads, "IDYLLWILD INN [left-facing arrow] COFFEE SHOP [down facing arrow] OFFICE [right-facing arrow]." Beneath that, another sign hangs from the eave, it reads, "The SKI SHOP Entrance thru OFFICE [right-facing arrow]." A sign just behind Josie Shaw reads, "OFFICIAL HOTEL NO. 49 UNDER CONTRACT WITH Automobile Club of Southern Calif."
