Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. George M. West was H. H. West's father. School with children in front. It is either the North Ward School or Red Oak High School. There is a girl sitting on a window ledge and another girl holding what appears to be a parasol. There are two boys sitting on the side of the stairs. The school has a belfry at the top. There are other buildings visible at either side of the school, as well as trees. Text from negative sleeve: 768. East. 1900. Red Oak, Iowa. The North Ward School which was built by George M. West. The old iron Red Bridge on west Coolbaugh street on the road past the Fair Grounds. The Red Oak High School on the east hill. I went to High School here. 3 negatives.
