H. H. West's sister, Nella, stands in front of the teahouse in the Japanese Garden in Golden Gate Park. She wears a hat and stands in profile, with a hand placed on a wooden post. The teahouse has a shade partially unfurled on one side. There are trees and plants throughout, and a wooden fence runs behind Ms. West.
