A distant and out-of-focus photograph of Wilfrid Cline, Jr. standing atop a log and fishing in McCloud River. Wilfrid Cline, Jr. stands in the distance, right-of-center, and looks down towards his hands. He stands on top of log that has fallen into and spans the river. A pool of water sits at center and is surrounded by fallen logs at left, lower right and by the log that Wilfrid stands upon. Shrubbery lines the opposite bank and trees stand in the distance.
Text from negative sleeve: 1036. Trinity Center county trip 1917. McCloud River. A swell trout stream. Here is Wilfrid Cline Jr fishing one of the pools from a fallen log. We all got limits in no time. When Wilfrid Cline Jr reached home his folks left for Chicago, and I remember sending him a copy of this photo to him at Chicago, and I labeled it: "Far from War and Worries." 1 film
