Photograph of a prospector traveling through the desert-like terrain near Mono Mills with his pack train. The desert-like land stretches across the image. In the mid distance, a few mules laden with gear walk across the landscape. They are at center and travel towards the left. A prospector on horseback follows behind them at right. Trees and ground brush dot the landscape as it sprawls into the distance. Mono Lake is barely visible in the far distance at left.
