Mrs. West wears a large hat with a white cloth tied under her chin. Another woman stands behind the large column and only her skirt and scarf are visible. There are other people in the background, as well as utility poles, wires, and buildings. Mary A. West (Mary Adelbert Teel West Shepard) was H. H. West's first wife and the mother of his children. H. H. West's daughter, Frances West (Frances Lucille West Wells) was not born until 1906, so the date of this photograph has been changed to about 1906, rather than about 1905.
