Attendees of the Iowa Picnic in Bixby Park look at a sign posted on a tree. The men wear hats and a man at the right wears glasses and smokes a pipe. Another man is visible at the left of the tree on which the sign is posted. There are other people and trees in the background.
Text from negative sleeve: 1343. Iowa State picnic Long Beach Calif. Aug. 13, 1938. One a palm tree was a sign reading "Montgomery County." Five views taken of this and not a single person can I now identify. 5 films.
