Wheeler told me that he lived across the creek from Hank Palmer, who was Sheriff, and lived at the jail on the creek. Said the worst fight he saw when a boy in Red Oak, Iowa, was between Elmer Sumpter and H. H. West. 2. Iowa State picnic headquarters. 3. Montgomery County headquarters.
