Text from negative sleeve: 1582. Yellowstone trip 1942. Saturday, June 20, 1942. Leaving Battle Mountain, Nev. we picked up a soldier en route east. Mertie West and Staff Sergeant John Frame, 629 Grant Street, Camden, N.J. en route to Ft Dix, N.J. Photo taken just east of Wells, Nev. Sgt Frame then takes picture of H.H.West and Mertie West. 2 films. [Note: In all instances of the year date, 1942, the last digit (2) is handwritten over a typed 3.]
