Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Mertie Whitaker became H. H. West's second wife in the 1920's. Otto and Guy (George Guy Whitaker) were her brothers. Mertie Whitaker perches on a couch with her brothers, Otto and Guy, and the Brown sisters. There is a pillow on the floor, as well as a rug. One of the Brown sisters is sitting behind Mertie. Otto leans on one elbow and Guy has his hands clasped between his legs. A portrait of Mertie hangs above the couch and another picture hangs at the right.
