Stuffed bird on the lawn of the West's house. It is mounted on what may be a piece of wood. The house is behind. The number "165" is visible at the right of the door and the mailbox is next to that. There are plants in front of the house.
Text from negative sleeve: 1866. Los Angeles, California. 165 South Harvard Blvd. Fall of 1917. 1. 2. On our vacation trip I shot a big sage hen at Coon Camp near Hayden Hill, Alturas County, California, I think is the place. Brot [sic] it home and had Coburn the Taxidermist fix it up. Here I am on the front lawn with the mounted bird. Kos' home in rear. 3. A picture of the bird on the lawn. 3 films. This mounted bird is in Bullocks Department Store, Sporting Goods Department, in the basement now. 1943
