Description

Frances West stands in the West's backyard wearing a bathing suit. She wears a white cap and white tights. A fence surrounds the yard. There is a clothes line in the background, as well as a small structure surrounded by a cloth at the left. At the right, there is a structure that may be a garage or back of the house. Another house is visible at the left.
This appears to be H. H. West's daughter, Frances West, not Mary West, as the negative sleeve states.
Text from negative sleeve: 1880. Los Angeles, California. 1644 Wellington Road, about 1920. 1. Frances West standing on the cement steps entrance to the house. 2. Mrs Mary A. West in the rear yard in a bathing suit. 3. Mrs Mary A. West sitting on the cement steps entrance to our house, with an armful of flowers. 4. ["Lois Winkler" crossed out] [Handwritten: Mrs H. H. West] standing on the lawn of our home. ["across the street from our home" crossed out.] 4 films.
