Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. H. H. West Jr. kneels in front of his grandfather, Charles Teel's gravestone while Mertie West stands to the side. His paternal grandfather, George M. West's gravestone is behind him. West wears a hat and a sweater. Mertie wears a coat and holds a purse. There are other gravestones in the background, as well as cars and houses. The Evergreen Cemetery was established in 1877 and is located in the Boyle Heights neighborhood at 204 N. Evergreen Avenue. Just back and to left of H. H. West Jr. is the stone marker of the graves of George M. West and his wife.
