Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of the Fire Engine House standing on the northeast corner of the intersection of Pasadena Avenue (formerly Hoff Street) and Avenue 19 (formerly Hayes Street). The fire station is viewed from the front at an angle from the south. A palm tree's trunk extends vertically along the left edge of the image in the foreground. Pasadena Avenue stretches across the mid-ground on a slight angle. Avenue 19 stretches back along the left side of the fire station. In the near distance, the 2-story fire engine house stands, left-of-center. One of the garage doors stands open and a vehicle is visible sitting beyond it. A balustrade spans the top of the building with a pediment rising at center. From the pediment, an American flag waves high above the building. A single-story building stands adjacent and to the right of the fire engine house. To the right of it, the brick-front police station stands in partial view at far right.
