Photograph of Mertie West standing in Evergreen Cemetery and looking at the tomb of George M. West and Wilhelmina Lemberger West on Decoration Day. Gravestones stand in a row that stretches back towards center from the lower right corner. Mertie stands behind (or to the left) of the third gravestone back. She faces towards the left and tilts her head down slightly. On the ground in front (or to the left) of her, flowers are arranged in front of the West's gravestone. It stands solitary in the near distance at left. Gravestones and trees cover the cemetery grounds that extend into the distance.
