Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds.
A poorly developed photograph of Corporal H. H. West, Jr. standing in front of the Quonset hut while stationed at Dutch Harbor during World War II. The image appears to be tilted slightly. In the foreground, snow covers the ground in front of the hut. H. H. West, Jr. stands at center and faces slightly left. He rests his hands in his pockets as he gazes off towards the left. The front of the hut stands directly behind him. It is in partial view and enters frame at left. It has an arched roof. Power lines extend from the building and out-of-frame along the top edge.
