Photograph, from left to right, of Paul West Deaver, Bernice Butler and Donald Butler standing on the front lawn of the Butler's home on Lemon Avenue in Monrovia. Paul West Deaver stands in the near distance at center. He is dressed in his Navy uniform and holds a piece of paper and his hat while he faces right towards Bernice. Bernice Butler stands to the right of him. She faces left towards Paul. Behind her at right, young Donald Butler stands on the lawn, facing slightly left. Behind the group, the front of the Butler residence stands. It is viewed close-up from the front. An open porch spans the width of the front of the house. A bicycle behind Bernice and Donald is propped up against the porch at right and a few toys sit on the left side of the porch. The house's address, "212," is displayed at the base of the pediment over the front porch. A neighboring house is visible in the background along the right edge.
